It’s National Science Week next week (9–17 August)!
We’re excited to launch our Science Week 2025 Farm of the Future – STUDENT CHALLENGE.
This is your opportunity to bring STEM to life through the fascinating world of food and fibre production – one of Australia’s most dynamic and technology-driven industries.
WHAT IS PIEFA’S SCIENCE WEEK STUDENT CHALLENGE?
Students will be challenged to pitch to their peers, a future food and fibre farming innovation or reflect on a historic agricultural breakthrough in technology to solve a real-world problem.
This is a free, curriculum-aligned classroom resource, designed for teachers and students from Foundation to Year 12.
Through this hands-on challenge, students will explore how science, maths and technology are shaping the future of farming – from GPS-guided tractors and gene mapping to artificial intelligence.
