New partnership to boost agricultural education for high school students
One of the major challenges that the agriculture sector is focused on addressing is how to feed the future population in a sustainable way.
A new partnership between the Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia (PIEFA) and agribusiness Nutrien Ag Solutions is set to arm a new generation of students with the knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices to drive the industry forward.
Educators in Storm and Flood affected NSW gain Valuable Tools to Strengthen Food and Fibre School Programs | July 2024
SFIRP’s mission is to help strengthen storm and flood impacted communities by building the capacity of educators to deliver food and fibre curriculum, which will ultimately boost interest in career opportunities within local primary industries. With the program set to conclude in October 2024, several free professional development opportunities remain, including online and in-person workshops.
Storm and Flood Industry Recovery Program Builds Resilience by Enriching Schools with Food and Fibre Education | April 2024
Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia (PIEFA), with the assistance of the Storm and Flood Industry Recovery Program (SFIRP), has actively engaged with 195 schools to-date in flood-affected regions of NSW. The program helps build resilience through awareness of local primary industries production and careers opportunities.
