PIEFA are currently recruiting for the following positions:
PIEFA Project Officer | SFIRP Project
Two Project Officers are sought for PIEFA’s SFIRP (Storm and Flood Industry Recovery Program) project, which is tasked to improve learning about food and fibre production and career pathways in schools in NSW flood-impacted areas.
The Project Officers will be responsible for deploying curriculum resources, teacher professional development and promotion of careers in primary industries by way of in-person school visits and stakeholder engagement.
Applicants must have excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills, and a demonstrated understanding of the NSW secondary school system, preferably with a teaching background. Tertiary qualifications in either project management or education is essential.
The position provides an opportunity to work in a national organisation with a diversity of stakeholders, whilst making a significant difference to the future of NSW primary industries at the classroom level. The project is funded to 31 December 2024.

- Remuneration package $105,000 plus superannuation (pro-rata for part-time)
- FBT salary benefits
- Flexible work-from-home arrangement (must reside in NSW)
- Extensive travel within NSW to regional schools
- Contract role until project completion date: December 31, 2024
- Part-time or full-time opportunities for the right candidate

A sound knowledge of office technology and Microsoft Word and Google drive is required. Tertiary qualifications in an education-related discipline is essential.
The position provides an opportunity to work in a national organisation with a diversity of stakeholders, whilst making a significant difference to the future of NSW primary industries at the classroom level. The project is funded to 31 December 2024.
